Spent some quality time with the scanner, and in Photoshop trying to make the scans look decent. (Curse you HP and your scanner/printer quality dichotomy!)

I have a small problem with Snape being referred to as an overgrown bat. I'm sure it's just in reference to his cloak or something, but a)bats do not swoop, they flutter, and I don't think Snape has ever fluttered in his life, and b)they look like this:

I got a little sidetracked and started to draw a bat that looked like Snape ...

... before remembering my mission was to draw Snape really looking like an overgrown bat.

YES!!!

Dude, bats don't have hooked noses: they're flat-faced and they're not really black, they're brownish! If he had to have an animal reference, it should have been some type of corvid, i.e. raven, jackdaw, rook, hooded crow... or at least some type of intelligent, forboding bird! At least they have his same movements.

Awww... Bathilda looks too cute! :C Now I'm gonna cry when SHE dies, too with THAT picture in my mind!

BTW, I'm totally envying your work: it's AWESOME! Would you mind if I show my boss your drawing of that crazy little bird? He's been looking for someone to help him bring his story to animation. He's searching for someone (unrelated to his real!job of CIO at the university where I work to avoid conflict of interest) who can draw quasi-abstract cartoon birds.

Mmk, the first one cracks me up!!! Especially because, when I was reading the apparating-into-Hogsmeade bit, I thought in my mind, "Why don't they just apparate into Hogwarts?" and then a huge Hermione appeared in my mind and screamed "YOU CAN'T APPARATE OR DISAPPARATE IN THE HOGWARTS GROUNDS!" XD

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA OMG I had skimmed through the f-list before running to class this morning, so I only had time for a brief snort at Hermione and Snape, and then I had to flee.

I wasn't expecting in the middle of a very serious discussion of Ethical Egoism during Intro to Ethics to suddenly remember the look on Voldemort's face and burst into laughter.

Clearly, I need to a) learn self-control and b) stop using the computer in the early morning.

Yay! the Snape!Bat and Bat!Snape are really funny. The Snape!Bat is actually kind of cute. I've also had issues with that description (and tend to ignore them :D) But the best is the Hermione thing. Her face in the last panel is hysterical!!!!! I really love it!! Although Happy!Voldy is great too! Bathilda is really great, kind of creepy, I love her little bony hands and giant blind eyes
