More Pottery

I've been on a bit of a 'kick' the last couple days, helped a bit by getting to work an hour and a half before anyone with a key so I have a nice long time to sit and draw at the Indiana Jones Café.



Sirius and James, chillin' ... or something ... I dunno. I'm not sure where this Sirius came from but okay, he can stay for now.


Haha, forget Percy, Regulus is the family David Hyde Pierce.


An imagined scene in which Regulus comes home from getting his Dark Mark and contemplates it for a while, as one would a tattoo or piercing or whatever.


Neville's Gran kicks random Death Eater butt! Or face, in this case! And she in no way at all resembles this person:


No siree bob, not one bit. I've never had to deal with the corrupting influence of being immersed in really really good drawings before. So hard to resist! Cannot! No! [gasp...]

I hope they make nice modelicious dolls/figurines of all the Enchanted characters, there's one I really want ...

The colour on the trailer really IS awful, by the way.

Ahahaha I love the one of Neville's grandmother. I was having a hard time coming up with an image of her in my head. Question: where did you learn your facial expressions? How did you practice them?

Umm... I looked at people making expressions? Basically I sort of worked out a little system for myself of what expression is achieved by tweaking various facial features, and how they made me feel if I combined them in different ways. Also make the expression yourself and see what is pushed and pulled in your face, and try to get that on paper. It takes practise. It also takes a bit of work to push the expression far enough that it feels like the emotion is coming from inside the character rather than the character just being told to 'look angry' or whatever.

And I also studied Timon a lot. Heh.

Wow, Ive been looking at your site for a long time and finally managed to get onto live journal to view your work.. And I love what you have done! It makes me want to get my site done even quicker.. (I animate the Cirque Du Freak series By Darren Shan..) I find your work is a great help as guidelines to my work..

Heh, Sirius looks like he is wearing a letterman jacket. What did he earn his letter in I wonder? Oh, of course! Kicking @$$ and taking names! I guess Neville's gran got herself the same letter.

I would love to see the full scene with Regulus poking and playing with the Dark Mark. He gives it a good poke and Voldemort shows up.
V-"Yes, what is it?"

I love your Regulus design! in the scene with him looking at his dark mark, it looks like he's wearing graduation robes XD. I noticed you changed you Sirius design too, he kinda somehow reminds me of the kid from Fern Gully, with a much shorter hair (aka no mullet)

If you're wondering where I came from, incidentally, my friend once linked me to your Potter art, but I got obsessed with your Pratchett work. After I finish a book, I go through the Art of Discworld to see if any characters are there, and then I go to your site second. Sometimes the other way 'round. Love your work.

Though, Sirius here looks a bit like Gilderoy; I think it's the mouth. Anyways, awesome job! *and the flying Voldie still cracks me up beyond good reason*

FINALLY! Live journal let me register!!!

In a way yeah, I did Animate a few characters.. When I heard they were planning to animate the series into movies, I sent in 4 pencil drawn characters and got turned down flat.. The letter I got back was a nice way of saying fat chance.. Thanks for submitting but sorry no.. They also scoffed at me because I don't work for a company or anything.. I just draw because I can..

Then about 3 months later I found out that they decided to do it with actors instead.. So I decided to just do similar to what you do, I draw various characters and scenes.. And if my hosting service ever gets back on-line I plan on finishing my site. So... for those who are interested, I'll put one up..

(And yes I know.. his eyes are mismatched and crooked.. And the resolution sucks big time seeing as I have to use my digital camera to get them on the computer.)

For those who do not recognize him by the picture it's larten Crepsly (It's more recent.. It's not the one I submitted to the company. This is just one I did quickly to show.)
