I HAS A MONATR!!1

On the other hand, my monitor settings don't go up to the optimum resolution for this thing... do I need a new video card or can I download something or what? HELP ME, INTARNETS!

It's not that annoying ... just kinda stretchy and blurry. Way better than a dead monitor, that's for sure.

Bleh, I was afraid of that ... ah well, it's pretty easy to find cheap used ones, right? It's not like I need a fancy gamer card or anything.

I can't say for certain, since I don't live in Canada. If you are going to use second-hand video cards, they better be in good condition and should include the installer CD (I know some video cards come with those).

Alternately, there are many new video cards that come in well under a hundred dollars. Maybe even as low as 50$. I do my shopping at NCIX.com - you can pick stuff up from them since their stores are in Vancouver.

Never, ever, ever buy a video card from Future Shop or Best Buy. Unless you enjoy 300% markup.

Noted--if ever I return to the States in order to buy a video card. :)
