I live in a town of crazy people.

The following is a facsimile of a photocopied flyer that was plastered all down the street where I work. I've done my best to replicate the spelling and the text is accurate (I copied it down) but my handwriting looks like I actually use it frequently. I'll try to get a copy tomorrow and scan the real thing but for now ...

I actually went out and checked, just for yuks, and because I needed some fresh air* ... If there were alien spaceships in the sky, they weren't bright enough to show up in the city. Not planning to do an Aldebaran check before dawn, though. Ugh.
*Does that make me crazier than the writer?

I think my favourite thing about it is a toss-up between the descending pyramid of underlines, which I haven't seen since middle school, and the fact that he actually used five exclamation points ... twice. (For those of you who have not read Maskerade, five exclamation points is a sure sign of an unhinged mind.)

I love that book, especially, for some reason Mr Bucket who gets infected with opera.

And, yeah, I'd have gone out to look as well, I mean we might have been witness to so great event and ended up in a movie.

I never even heard about the Alderbaran thing, and I take Astronomy for cripes' sake.

Also, weren't there supposed to be seven seals?

Why am I bothering to point out all of the errors in this notice when it does it so efficiently on its own?

For me it's a toss up between the atrocious grammar and spelling and the fact that he just used lined paper and a pencil.

At least the Scientologists put money into it...

Hehe, I know, I was mentally composing a list of snarky footnotes to the flyer on my way home but then realised it'd be pointless. :)

...Is that the 4th doctor? 'Cause even if that's what they wear on Gallifry, that is one SILLY hat

Gallifreyan silly hats are an age-old tradition. The Time Lords are known throughout the galaxy and beyond for their eccentric taste in headgear (and scarves, trousers, cloaks, black velvet suits, etc.) and are only rivaled by the Castrovalvans in this area. Some alien races whose cranial structures do not support hats think this is unfair, but nobody can stop laughing at their lumpy heads long enough to care.
There's a picture somewhere of David Tennant wearing that.
