A Panoply of Christmas Eve Entries

Four years ago I moved from a dry climate to a wet one. I have passeed a landmark - yestarday afternoon, when walking into the kitchen, I noticed an open bag of soynuts. My first reaction was to close the bag so that they didn't go stale.
This is a big thing for me. A moment of great solemnity. The great wet forest is now my natural habitat.

It's an omen. I sat down at the computer and that particular movement of that particular Mozart violin concerto started.
An omen of what, I don't know.

Okay, so three entries does not quite make the "panoply" I was expecting to post today. Oh well.
We're about to go to Midnight mass, where I'll be playing a borrowed violin that had a finnicky C natural but is much prettier than my own. When we get back ... it will be CHRISTMAS! Merry Christmas, everyone!
