It is incredibly remiss of me not to have linked everyone to this earlier, but at least you can still catch a few more episodes. John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme is a sketch show written by and featuring one of the best comedy writers in the biz (in my exalted opinion) and is not to be missed! ... Except for the two episodes which have slipped by without my mention. Um. Maybe they'll be up on iTunes before too long. (I hope.)

In less urgent news, this week's News Quiz is not only a delightful capsule of radio anarchy suspiciously lacking in actual news, but it's got Laura Solon, so it's like two wonderful radio comedies in one. I would dearly love for Laura Solon to do a voice in something animated someday, especially if I got to work on it.

More vaguely news-related comedy: Eddie Mair, frequently comedic host of serious news magazine PM, takes a turn hosting a retrospective of frequently serious comedic news magazine On The Hour, and its spinoffs, entitled It's a Painful Business. He should know!

And, setting aside all pretense of sanity, it's the return of one of my favouritest radio shows ever, The 99p Challenge! I am sure such esteemed individuals as Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Peter Serafinowicz, Armando Iannucci, Sue Perkins, and Peter Baynham (at least two of whom have since been nominated for Oscars) would be mortified that this was my introduction to them, and I still think of them to some degree as 'the 99p crew,' but that is just something they'll have to live with.

AND FINALLY, I thought I'd have to bid farewell to this show when the CBC switched back to regular programming after the heady anything-goes experimental spirit of the summer, but This Is That is still running! May it run forevermore. Run, little comedy show, run!
