At long last, after more than a year since starting it (but only a few weeks' worth of actual effort, all told), I've finally got this animation to a presentable state:

That would be Sue Perkins in place of Emma Thompson ... her voice is a bit harder but she's got a good delivery. I'd like her to voice an animated character someday. Well, IMDb says she was a bird in Dinotopia but then I'd have to watch it ... I liked the book but the show looked distinctly unimpresive.

That's fantastic! Wonderfully expressive, and I particularly love her ear motions.

Wow, great acting - the mouths are lovely. There's awesome volume too. Grrr, you!

Where's the character from?

She's from Treasure Planet ... not much of a movie but a few really cool designs. Ken Duncan's mouths are way lovelier than mine ... that was one of the hardest things to get, actually; I didn't realize how much of a formula for mouths I'd developed until trying to learn someone else's.

As for volumes, well, that's what you get by not doing it in Flash! 2D FTW!! HAHAHAH!!!

Excellent work! I had to watch it several times to get all the little nuances of her expression and hand motions and such, and they're brilliant. Even the pacing is perfect. *applauds*

All points for pacing go to Sue Perkins; I just followed the reading. Thanks for everything else, though!

As I understand it, he's put this together in an effort to find a funder to actually make the movie, so I think forecasting a release date is a little premature...

OMG! *stunned* I could read her lips!! You have no idea, I mean, really, you have NO IDEA!! Because... I read lips, and I could UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE WAS SAYING!!

*is floored*

You are DA BOMB!!

From: [identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com
Wow! Really? That's funny, because so much of animated lip-synch is really really simplifying the mouth movement so that it's not jumping all over the place for every syllable. It roughly equates to one open and one closed mouth per word .. and you can still read that? Cool!

I am extremely envious that you can do such a marvelous thing as make drawings that move. Surely you must be able to do a type of magic!

Where is the line that your Amelia speaks from?

The 99p Challenge (http://99p.protoncharging.com/)! Silliest panel show ever! And Sue Perkins is the ringleader! I don't remember specifically which episode though.

Actually, at least one of the regulars (Peter Baynham) has since been nominated for an Oscar (writing, on Borat) and another one is Simon Pegg, so it's all full of credentials.

Whoa. o_O That is really incredibly well done. I love how her ears move. And just echoing what everyone else said, the mouth movements are great - the little smirk in the middle of "I just seem to have..." is very nice. :D

I love the animation, and the quote! Very well played!
