So, layover in Sacramento is longer than anticipated...

Why is it that smaller places have free WiFi and big ones charge you for it? Half the little corner cafes back home let you tote your laptop and browse for free (or the price of a coffee), but a giant air travel thoroughfare like LAX, which probably makes tons of money from ads and rent to shops and stuff, makes you pay. Sacramento gives it away. Go fig.

Is it possible to spam one's own journal?

A Sacramento addition to the previous entry: a woman talking to her daughter on her cell, saying 'Don't change your story, that's exactly what they want you to do.' Hmm, intriguing...

It looked very nice from the sky, though the fields were flooded (rice?) and the reservoirs EXTREMELY low. What is up with that, O Califoria native? I know the Central Valley used to be a seasonal slough, but with such low rainfall this year?

It hadn't rained until like yesterday! Its been odd this year, but its starting and once it starts it rarely gets better until like April.... but I love the rain...well not now that I'm biking everywhere I go here! XD

But its better when its sunny. :)

Oh, Sacramento. *waves to home city* I once used that free Wifi to bitch (on the elljay, no less) about how I'd missed my flight. Oh, to think I'll be returning to that airport in less than a week...

O'Hare and La Guardia are selfish with their WiFi as well. Darn airports.

Wow. I live around that crazy city. Yep. It's always talked about like the little kid who wants to be taken seriously. I like living around here, but that's only because I'm used to it.

small places need the draw; large ones already had it so might as well squeeze as much out of you as possible

Who seriously makes their flight choices based on whether the airport has free internet, though? I mean, I flew into Sacramento because it was the layover that was part of my ticket; I can't imagine anyone would go there just for the free internet because with the cost of a plane ticket that would be the most expensive internet evar.
