What I want to know is ... if I got 25/25,* how is that 98.96%? Or maybe I'm not quite smart enough to figure out what they mean by that ...

Also, be warned: this test discriminates against people unfamiliar with American history. On the other hand, it also includes questions about the metric system, so maybe it evens out... bloody stubborn non-metricky country.

I got 24/25 . . but then on the sports one I got 21/25. I think we should combine scores on the two for the final result.

I scored 24 too. I know which one I got wrong. The IQ test that follows is nonsense, because I scored 140 which is far from the truth. I've take 2 tests on Mensa's pages, and they have me down to 110-112. I couldn't apply for membership, he he.

The time you take with the quiz affects the score, I'd say.

I spent a pretty long time on the quiz because I went off to do something and got a pretty low percentage.

(And just proved my stupidity by replying to azvolrien instead of directly posting a comment to this journal... *Blames coke*)

I got most of the American history ones through process of elimination. I would have got much less if they weren't multiple choice.

98.96 is your percentile, not percentage. of course 25 out of 25 is 100%. But 98.96 is the percentage of people that your scored higher than, they round it up to 99% for the little symbol thing.

I feel that some of the questions were unfair... being a New Zealander, how am I really supposed to know the American history questions? It seemed to be nation specific...

Perhaps I can explain.

If you got a 25/25 you are SMARTER than 90% of us fools, the other 10% having also gotten a 25/25. Therefore you got 100% of the questions right but didn't score BETTER than 100% of the testees. But was would I know, I only got a 24/25. D:
