I'm not behind in drawing but I am behind in scanning... Thanks to being preoccupied with silly Valentines yesterday. So. Here are my sketchbook entries:

It was late and I was tired, and really didn't want to draw in my sketchbook... so I just filled it up with random doodles. The landscape on the second page is from a postcard that was on my desk, and next to the moderately atrocious hand is my opinion of the moderately atrocious hand and drawing on Friday night in general.

These are some elements from the dream I'd had the night before (if drawing two pages of random rubbish just before climbing into bed brings on dreams like that, I should do so more often) ... the erasures on the knife are a testament to the neglected fact that one should always draw the centre line FIRST, especially when it's 12:30 am and you're giddy off Valentine vapours.

Attending a choir practise as an instrumentalist while the choir is rehearsing a song that has no sheet music can be hazardous to the sanity:

I love to go a-wandering
Along the mountain track
And as I go, I love to sing
My knapsack on my back –

Val-de-ri, val-de-ra,
Val-de-ri, val-de-ra-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha
Val-de-ri, val-de-ra!
My knapsack on my back!

In case you were wondering, this was done without any sort of reference at all..

The Happy Wanderer! My brother learned that song at scout camp. It does seem more fitting for scout camp than for a choir however...

Oh no no no, they weren't singing it in choir, that was just the song I though appropriate for the picture. No, the choir was singing something much more saccharine, if you can believe it...

*wincewince* Um, yes. That's exactly what I was thinking...

It was the hat that made me go, "Victorian".
