It must be indicative of something in the British character that they have one designated word for 'making faces' (with or without a horse collar) ... but what?
'Hockey Night in Canada' Theme to Retire?
I'm not even a hockey fan and I'm affronted. It's the second national anthem, you can't just drop it!

Date: 2008-06-06 10:09 pm (UTC)So...., I gather that you are a great fan of the British sense of humour... Terry Pratchett, J K Rowling, BBC Radio 4 etc etc... but you may be missing out on a fantastic program on BBC2 (television) called Q.I. with Stephen Fry (who narrates the Harry Potter books here in the UK - and the ONLY narrator in my opinion, sweet as I remember Jim Dale being in the Carry On series :))
