In case anyone's wondering what's up with Disney, here's a good summary ... It's ostensibly a review of the short film "Dream On Silly Dreamer" which chronicles the rise and fall of 2D at Disney over the last decade, but it serves as a handy primer on the biz and its collapse. I remember hearing about the disbandment of Disney's Feature Animation studio last spring and was in complete shock. However, it made sense considering the direction the studio was driven; I enjoyed the animation in the most recent Disney flicks but the plot was definitely lacking compared to Pixar.

It's sad how such a great era finally came to a close. Here's to hope that Disney will be able to pull out of this mess.
