After a protracted battle with AT&T, which included many ESL call-centre employees, a malfunctioning website, a voice recognition computer that was incapable of understanding clearly spoken numbers, three separate visits by technicians, and an earthquake, my residence is now connected to the little gradient-filled cloud that is The Internet.

Tonight I have triumphed over the simultaneously stupid ("do not turn off your computer") and baffling Netgear wireless router setup. (I think it was being difficult because I mocked its graphics.) Behold, my computer skills!

What, dude, seriously? You only just got internet? How long ago did I help you move into that place? XD

That's great, though! I should come over before I move. (Or after. It's not a strain to me.) But it'd be nice to have a last hangout before it takes me 45 minutes to get to your house, you know?

Unfortunately, this weekend is booked. My bestest friend is back from her two year stint in Japan, and she's coming over today and spending the night, and then on Saturday I'm definately moving stuff and most likely on Sunday, too.

But if time clears up on Sunday, I'll give you a holler!

Weeknights work too (except sometimes Tuesdays). But yes, give a holler. :)

Uneventfully.

Aside from ... the event ... obviously.

Oh yes. A few times. I've spent most of my life in places that hav eregular earthquake drills. One of the oddest was a 3-pointer that hit Salt Lake ... I was sitting on the top of a big berm and it felt like there was heavy equipment at work inside the hill. I probably wouldn't have felt it otherwise.
