Vastly Delayed Lupin
Sep. 11th, 2008 08:34 amI drew this in 2004 or 5 but couldn't scan it at the time and forgot about it. I'm sure I scanned it a couple years later, when I ran across it again, but it wasn't on my computer or my external hard drive when I remembered it during my recent website update. So I scanned it again. And here it is.

Remus tries to ignore James bullying Snape by burying himself in his book, from the 'Snape's Worst Memory' chapter in Order of the Phoenix (the only part I really liked in that book).
Yeah ... might be guilty of this sort of thing myself ... a lot ...

The last line is precisely why that part was the only part I really HATED in that book. :(
But I like the drawing! Especially the frown with his eyebrows and the fingers in his hair.

This is the blog that talks about it. I just found it funny, and I thought you might like it. :)

Date: 2008-09-11 08:42 pm (UTC)Your Remus always looks very Ewan McGregorish to me. Which is a good thing, because that's who I've always wanted to play the role.

Date: 2008-09-11 08:43 pm (UTC)And that situation in the book was one of the main things I didn't like about highschool. Trying to distance myself from all the stupid things my peers were doing was hard, since it seemed like most of the people in highschool were idiots.

The whole drawing is spot-on for the feeling you're trying to convey. :3

Date: 2008-09-12 07:41 pm (UTC)stalkedwatched, I think you've got one of the best lupins. And now for something completely different ...
Have you heard of the Protectors of the Plot Continuum? It mostly concerns LOTR, but it seemed like something with which you'd empathize

Date: 2008-09-15 11:59 am (UTC)Actually your drawings of Remus were the ones which brought me to your website and journal in the first place. He does have something of Roger, and he's the only representation of the character that really corresponds to my own vision.
I am so happy I found you by chance on Google one boring afternoon at the school library ;)
