Went out on the town with Randeep and Lissa tonight ... the primary objective of our mission was the Echo Park Time Travel Mart, which is just as awesome as it sounds, if not more so on account of amazing and admirable attention to detail.

BUT ...

We got a little bit lost on the way there and discovered something else!

Did you re-enact the whole scene with everyone you went to ? BTW, that Time Travel mart you originally wanted to go to, what does it sell?

No, we just saw it while driving past. Scenes of extravagant dorkishness may occur at a later date. :)

If you click on the link you should see samples of Time Travel Mart's merchandise.

It gets used on special nerdy occasions, it's not my default.

is that mart... f'real?! Is is an exhibit or can you, like... BUY those things... and EAT THEM? It's like a dream come truuueee!

It is both an entertaining exhibit AND a STORE! And you can eat anything you like except for the doughnuts from 1985, though I don't know exactly what you'll find inside the tin of mammoth meat or powdered horse milk...

HAHA, "Out of Order, come back yesterday." Cute. I so want to go there. 8D

AND OMGDLKLSFH I didn't know that Coin Wash actually existed! I would totally just run in there and start singing.

What, did you think they constructed a whole laundromat for their super-low-budget production? :) Of course it exists! I've been looking out for it since last summer but I don't get out much so it wasn't much of a search. It's actually really close to the park they shot in, too. Teehee! I wonder how many random acts of musicality have been perpetrated there in recent months ...

XD I guess I just never thought about it. :p

I wonder how the people that work there feel about it. Like, is it cool or just annoying to have people come in all the time and be all "WITH MY FREEEEZE RAY"? X)

I seriously hope that happens ALL THE TIME. Who knows if anyone works there full time at all? Do most laundromats have an attendant? I thought they were fairly automated...

Yeah most have an attendent to wipe things down, clean the floors, and such. Help someone who had the machine steal their money.
Put up the out of order signs and let the owner know if something needs to be fixed.
Used to use one all the time. The laundry room at our apartment complex was so nasty, we went to the local laundramat instead.

Loch Lomond! Weren't they adorable? I bought their CD from the singer-man on the sidewalk after the show.

They were adorable, and the singer sounds so much less like a girl on the CD. :)

I must be more of a nerd than you are, I laughed at this, and I've never even watched Dr. Horrible. Maybe it's the English major in me--"Coin Wash" just sounds funny, you know?
