Squeaking in under the wire... I have possibly made peace with the scanner situation.

Caricature dump!

Left to right: Mr Greno, director; Ms Fujimoto, clean-up artist; Mr Vischer, animator; Mr Kaytis, animator and host of the Animation Podcast; Mr Benavides, guru of coffee and studio counsellor; Mr Millstein, High Muckymuck.

But he's always ... Oh right, you're on the ~third~ floor. ;) He's around a lot but I guess I mostly see him at animation department meetings. Nice guy. (as if there were an alternative around here...)

I'm curious now how you got the extremes in line thicknesses. thin tip gone over several times or a multitude of tip sizes?

A soft, not-too-sharp pencil, a steady hand, and wide variety of pressure.

Just a question, do you read rufftoon? She works for Nick, I think, but she's awesome.

I have seen her blog a few times and yes, she is awesome, but I'm not a big Avatar fan and that seems to be her subject matter almost exclusively. Also I don't friend people I don't know, and I'm really bad at keeping up with people who aren't on my friends page...

Ahhhhhhhhhhh these are so great <3 I can tell certain aspects of their personalities in these!

Soooo, haha, when are you not busy? XD I happen to have a free 2fer ticket that I can use for California Adventure that I have to use in 30 days, so we could always go hang out there or we could meet up for a bite and chattings on some free night? :D

After the 13th is good.....ish. As good as it'll be before June anyway. :)

Wow, these are really good - mkay, I don't know who these people are - but your very unique style is taking on a bit of the clean and distinctly Disney style.

I never thought my style was all that unique to begin with, seeing as I learned it off Disney characters ... the trick about caricatures is simplification, which might influence the 'cleanliness'. As far as I can tell, my drawings are just getting better. I looked at some of my stuff from 2005 and actually cringed! This is progress!

I thought it was unique, anyway. I could tell your drawings from anyone else's.

Well, it's like handwriting ... everyone here draws the same characters but you can tell who did what scene because they all have their own style. Your style is more unique than mine! I've seen your influences and you still look completely distinct.

I'll take your word for that because my ego enjoys your word.

Is that clean up lady as chipper as you drew it? ^^

She is very cheerful. I don't know her well but I can't recall ever seeing her not smiling. Maybe she just has a naturally smiley face...

LMAO these are great! They have such a simplicity and focus on basic head shape which is the most important thing, of course, and I don't get to do a lot of at work. I feel like in the Hirschfeld to Jan Op de Beeck range of caricatures, you really closer to the Hirschfeld approach.

:0 SO THAT'S what Clay Katis looks like. I've always wondered. He looks like he sounds - really calm and laid back. My favorite's the guy at the bottom, maybe because of his mouth. xD

Just so you know, now I can't stop picturing your drawing when I'm listening to the Animation Podcast. (oy.) :) (I also thought I saw someone who looked similar to your drawing of Ms. Fujimotoa few days ago, but that's just crazy talk. Although, Burbank.)
