Okay, it's been officially announced so I can pass it on:
THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG
Limited release NY & LA 25 Nov 2009
Nationwide* release 11 Dec 2009
That's a month earlier than the original schedule, in case you didn't know. It's very smart business-wise but at the same time AAAAAAH. Did I mention I'm busy? :)
*and presumably Canadian

Date: 2009-03-11 09:00 am (UTC)I wonder what the international release dates will be...
I've also been meaning to ask (hoping you can answer), are you directly animating scenes on the movie or are you storyboarding or doing bg or what? *is curious*

Date: 2009-03-11 03:54 pm (UTC)The big meeting wasn't about the release date, it was just a quarterly checkup thing (thought they've been a bit lax about the 'quarterly' since I've been here). We found out about the release date right after coming back from Christmas break. 'Welcome back, hope you enjoyed Christmas, by the way you have absolutely NO SLACK NOW.' But it'll be good for the movie; frankly I was a little puzzled why they'd want to release something with big merchandise tie-ins after everyone's done their holiday shopping...

Date: 2009-03-12 01:27 am (UTC)Deleted that last paragraph because I don't want to jinx the test screening and make them change Seq 27. Hopefully it's in your email.

Date: 2009-03-12 07:41 pm (UTC)I honestly burst out laughing at this comment, and had to explain myself to my friend who was sitting next to me.
Ah, so if you don't mind me asking, what does a "sequence" (I'm assuming that's what Seq stands for) usually entail?
Is it like a complete scene, or only a clip of complete action with one character, or a complete conversation/dialogue (etc.)?
