Life Drawingoning!

tealinI just got back from an actually good life drawing session ... as opposed to last week's humbling experience. Oddly enough, I found that when I moved off the floor (where I had to sit because work keeps me from getting there on time) and onto a desk (which had been abandoned by someone leaving once they'd gotten their homework done) my drawings improved significantly, and all these old memories of how to push a pose and how anatomy works got kicked into life again.
The model had Violet Baudelaire's hair. VERY unsettling.
In other news, brace yourself for an unusually irate and outspoken me.
To all those people moping about how it was so sunny but now it's raining: SHUT UP! You obviously have NO capacity for long-term judgement and what sort of climatological consequences a record dry February will have! You want crispy trees and brown grass? You want the parks closed for fear of fires? You want water restrictions? You want meddlesome wildlife raiding your garbage because there's nothing to eat in their natural habitat? It's already too late to get our snowpack back up to anywhere CLOSE to normal which is going to be bad enough - and you sit there saying how nice and sunny it was when it was too cold to go lounge about in your bikini anyway! For cryin' out loud, people, you want interminable sunny weather, move to Arizona! If you want trees and grass and flowers, then EMBRACE THE RAIN! Gah! Stupid people!
