Every time I look at it I think the Slytherin locket should have a $ on it. Bling bling, baby!

There, that's yesterday's drawing. I didn't necessarily forget about it – I kept thinking about it all day – but I never got the chance to draw what I wanted to draw, so maybe I will do that in dailies today. There's only one more commission to go! I'll have to dig up some more stuff this weekend...

That's GREAT ! The expression and energy are amazing. It's typically a "ron's face", and he actually LOOKS like Ron. He is so the knight. Did he pull out the sword with his left hand ? I like that, I always pictured him as a left-handed, don't ask me why.
It's good to see some HP stuff, it reminds me when I first discovered you drawings, I printed a lot of them and went on and on about them, as if I was in love or something.

yeah!

i know how fairy feels i am really into discworld and harry potter and wish i could draw better... but i did the same thing i printed out half of twirlynoodle's "Going Postal" pictures and used them as bookmarks while reading "Going Postal" and when i felt the need snuck peeks at them they seemed to remind me of how i was visualizing the characters.I really loved this scene and i especially LOVE how she depicted it

Actually I put the sword in his left hand because it works better for the pose and composition that way. :)

..isn't that how a lot of animated characters end up left handed? btw, awesome foreshortening on that shoe! (and the eye direction rocks too.)

Oh you're no fun... ;)
But I guess he needed a free hand to take the necklace, right ?
...Hahahahahaa, it cracks me up, I can hear him yelling just looking at his face, hahahahaaaa !

You captured the "just got dragged out of a pond" look perfectly. XD Namely the sagging wet clothes and flattened hair that ALWAYS makes heads look fucking weird-shaped, even though it's drawn correctly. And the way he's holding the locket and the sword all backwards-handed is just right, given the circumstances.

I love that you pay such attention to the posing and motion of these characters. It just works so damn well, and yet the picture is still so damn simple. o3o

That was as backhanded a compliment as I've ever read on this blog.

... it... wasn't meant to be backhanded? .___.? I meant all of that in a completely honest "Ron looks ridiculous and that means you captured the scene perfectly, and I commend you for it because you're very good at conveying emotions through poses" way.

It was wordplay on your comment "all backwards-handed." I like wordplay. It was a well-deserved compliment and it was about the way he was holding the sword. It would have been as easy to say it was a compliment on the way Ron was holding the sword, but less fun.

Perhaps it would have worked better if you'd quoted the line in your entry, rather than directing your comment at the passage as a whole? :)

I LOVE THIS PICTURE SO MUCH!

*ahem* Sorry, gut reaction there. Next time I'll try to make a more concise comment.

<3 <3 <3 <3 I love the thin legs and the big feet, because Ron must have thin legs and big feetzes.

And if you should ever happen to want a suggestion for what to draw again... I think there are far too few pics of Draco and Lucius dressed up Gangsta out there (at least that I have seen).

Daaahlin', whatever it is that makes you draw HP again, don't stop taking it!
This is like the olden days over at the Enchanted Paintbrush, only... better.
And what you wrote about being able to provide high res for me? Oh, yes please, if it isn't to much bother: heap the good stuff over to Kaffeefee@gmx.de. :)

Now: Wonderful composition. The left-right dynamic is really cool, I love his facial as well as body expression, the plastered hair is just right, the soggy scarf and tight jeans are a very "Ron" choice for costune design (not that the fact that he's sogged has anything to do with that at the moment... XD) and just generally: Seeing you draw these characters again makes me feel all giddy and wanting to go back to my fanart endeavors, too. Which is a very, very good thing *tosses college Illustration assignments for the giddy delights of HP*

Unemployment, a busted monitor, and a need for cash? ;)

I dunno, I might go back and read the first three books again in a few years but I am thoroughly Pottered out, and found better things in the meantime. It's got to mean something when literally half the illustration ideas I had while reading the seventh book were gags.

I was going to leave a comment about the same quote, héhé.

About the gags ideas while reading HP7, this is so sad, Tealin ! But at least our opinions can be more similar about Twilight : we're having fun with Disneyboy over those books.
By the way, I had found a notebook that was yours I guess, because there were impressions about HP7, in the blue room at his place... I don't remember if I told you that already...

Really nice, Tealin! Even though I really like Rupert Grint, it's nice to see Ron as he was originally imagined in the books (tall, lanky, somewhat awkward in an adorable way).
