Say what you like about Flash, it's great for doodly drawings on a Cintiq, especially when you're supposed to be working. This is a quick sketch of one of the characters in the show I was boarding ... it was a CG show so they said that speed and clarity were more important than model on the characters, so I sort of developed my own shorthand for them, only really concerning myself with proportions and size relationships. The characters had been designed and modelled for a game, not acting in a cartoon, so after a while they asked us to keep expressions down to what could be accomplished by the model, but it was fun for a while.

It's just very simple but there's something I like about it ...

Aw, smiley bear. It would make a nice oversized design for a shirt.

I second the motion. He would look good on a t-shirt.

I had a stuffed bear when I was young that when you squeezed different parts of it it would make "realistic" -ish bear sounds. This one reminds me of the laugh it made.

Sometimes it would play by itself (from the pressure of being under a bunch of stuff) and it would creep the heck out of me o_o

I was totally worried about working in Flash over the summer for our internships, but Boris and I have to take test for Yowza tomorrow.. D:
Maybe I'll touch one of your drawings x)

Oh boy Yowza! Remember, if you think you're being too anal, you're probably not being anal enough. I mean it.

My former roommate who used to sell books once had a sample of one of those kids' books with sound effect buttons down the side. It sat in her car for a few weeks and something about its position meant that whenever she went over a bump the 'villain' button would get pushed and an evil 'Aah ha ha ha haaaaa' would emanate from the back seat. :)

o_o I know I know, they're pretty tough. Though we have met the guys in charge a couple of times and they are very nice 8) And they are aware that Sheridan hasn't taught us anything actually useful, so we're hoping they're taking that into consideration and will be willing to be patient with us (as long as we don't suck THAT bad) :p

That's pretty awesome. I had a Little Mermaid one that my brother and myself wore out. Especially Ursula's laugh, we related it to my my mom and her friends' laughter when they get really loud. Heh.

I think he's cute. He reminds me of something, but I can't think what at the moment.

(Also, for a second I was trying to remember if "Happy" was the name of one of the Carebears.)

Oh, Carebears. I wonder if the overly cutesy and sincere cartoons of the 80s are responsible for our eye-rolling sarcastic generation.
