I go on and on (and on and on) about ideas and opinions in frank language, but I communicate personal information in cryptic references to history!

Basically: Not everyone is staying at Disney after Frog is done, but I am. A lot of the people leaving are much more highly qualified than me but I guess they are putting their money where their mouth is in regards to training new talent. How unexpected.

I just hope this reference does not become an extended metaphor because everyone who did end up going to the pole perished tragically ...

Also: L.A. does not have lilacs. :(

That is an oval. [sniff]

What an interesting and varied profile I used to have. I wonder what happened.

That's something I've never really understood in the animation world. Why isn't the same team kept for subsequent projects? I think it would make more sense, as you're used to working together and all. Of course, I don't mean they should close the doors to new talents either, as fresh new talent is needed to keep things flowing and changing, but making the change so soon...

I'm really glad that you're staying though. I know what you mean with the 'mixed' feeling; it's nice to know youre talent is appreciated, but it's hard to see other talents, other friends, having to go.

How *is* Frog coming, BTW? I was surprised to receive a first preliminary of the script, since I was told to expect A Christmas Carol first.

Usually the reason they let people go is that they don't have another project lined up right away, and it doesn't make sense to keep paying people to do nothing for a couple of months (in TV) or years (in our case). Back in the good old days when film after film came rolling down the pipeline, they did keep everyone (unless they left voluntarily or were really awful) – you'd get one film done, take a couple months vacation, then come back and start another. But no longer! We live in interesting times.

Frog is rolling along ... I can't compare it to Christmas Carol, but I'd guess... perhaps ... most of our dialogue was set a lot earlier?

Yeah, but it changes a lot during production, which is why I get sent a transcript of the final version of the dialogues. And even then, they send 3 preliminaries before the final final version arrives.

Hey, I totally forgot to tell you. That shot you did that appears in the trailer? The version I received for translation had that section still in rough animation, so I'm guessing I actually saw your very own hand made drawings ;p

WOO you most certainly did! (They look so sad and awkward next to Bruce's...)

I think 98% of our dialogue is the same as it was six months ago, whereas I imagine any movie with Jim Carrey would have ... significant liberties in the script. And you can change CG stuff much closer to the finish date.

Congrats :)

I've seen lilacs at Trader Joe's but they look pretty sad and have no smell :/

What...WHAT...is this because you get teenage girls hot and heavy through your Naveen drawings? IS IT????

Regardless, congrats :DD

God, that's a depressing notion... but it's probably true. They do that at my work, too.

Good people are leaving? You're so cryptic!! LOL.

Well maybe soon I can be there too. *counting the days until graduation*

Seriously, though, I'm sure you can't really talk about it, but no one awesome is leaving right? Not Glenn Keane or Andreas Deja, right?

I've met her, had lunch with her, went to see Ratatouille with her, talked to her, saw her cube at Disney and even kinda lived with her for a while. That makes me feel so *special* ;)
I love the noodle family !
So she needs to be nice to me, otherwise I could reveal her true identity to the World !

I have unraveled this mystery - still, your fond personal sketches of her character cannot move me until I have met her, myself. One must always be suspicious of the brilliant mercurial super villain that is the INTJ. I fear you have been fooled!

Hi! I wandered in through the Discworld art on your site and had one of those moments of "Huh, I wonder if this person works in animation--OH...!"

And uhh...! I was just wondering. Did you happen to go to Calarts? :x
