A while ago, a group of us from work went to karaoke, and one of the songs someone picked made my inner emo teenager go 'OMG liek that is totally the Doctor :*] !!!1'

Luckily the Internet does not fail me, and provides a music video!

Fear not the crazy editing at the beginning! It settles down as soon as the song starts.

That was fantastic! :D It's nice to see a Nine video, there aren't too many of those (compared to Ten, anyways).

Ran across this and thought you might be interested. I don't know how I feel about them portraying him as a 2009 superhero though.

Sorta Doctor related.

I have heard of that ... also not terribly interested in the '2009' or the 'superhero' but ... okay ... reminds me a bit of the new Jekyll & Hyde series which held my interest until the moment I found out it had a contemporary setting. With this and the Guy Ritchie movie, I think the world of Holmes on Film is doing a pendulum swing away from how stuffy and archaic his film persona was in the past, which is also out of character ... eventually they will find stasis and discover, there, that they are not alone, because Clive Merrison has been there the whole time.

Yeah, this is one of my favourite songs :D I love Placebo.

Did you sing anything at karaoke?

I did! Not very much though, being ill-versed in popular music. Did you know that Coldplay's 'The Scientist' is omg liek totally Copenhagen? :*]

NO WAE.

YOU did NOT. Marc refuses to even attend karaoke - but if he knows you actually sang... maybe I can use that to conjure up some ancient herd mentality in him...

What did you sing? Do you remember?

It is totally Copenhagen - yes, it is so! Speaking of science-love have you ever heard 'The Science of Silence' by Richard Ashcroft?:

*clears throat* AHEM-hem-hem-hem!

We are on a rock,
spinning silently
Won't you get close to me?
OooooOoo!

I dunno, some Andrew Lloyd Webber (they didn't have much) and The Copenhagen Song ... it was Small Room Of Your Friends Karaoke, with very melodramatic Korean music videos playing on the screen, not Get Up On Stage And Sing For Strangers Karaoke, which I might not have been so keen on. Also, remember, I grew up in a theatre family.

Aww, astrophysicists trying to put on the moves ... how cute.

Goshdarnit, now I want to go rewatch S1.

I still like Nine better than Ten >.>

He does have a lot more pathos, it must be said. I forget where I heard this but someone said something along the lines of 'If you want to watch acting, watch Christopher Eccleston; if you want to watch someone bouncing around high on caffeine, watch David Tennant.'

Ahaha--

Okay, no more speaking ill of the dead gone; I actually hated Ten at first (so dramatic!) but he kinda grows on you :)

Well, I have a professional interest in watching the exaggerated and cartoony. :)

That's a thought -- DW adapted into animation.

It's better suited to it, IMHO, though the animated things that have been done so far are ... less than awesome.

Haha, I am sooo baaaad at ideas ... and I've worked in TV enough to know that it is only an extreme fluke if anything of quality comes out of that system.

If not for copyright and all that pesky stuff, I'd just say take the old ideas and run like hell with 'em. But hey, real world :P

Well, there was a brief exchange from the Shada radio play that I wanted to animate but there are so many (i.e. 2) things I ought to animate first ...
