Okay, here's a page that will take a lot of explaining...
It starts off with A Bus Story. I got on the bus, on my way home. I saw someone had a sketchbook (a very rare occurence, unless that someone is me) so I sat down nearby to spy, hoping to see some nice -– or at least interesting -- drawings. The guy opened his book to a fresh page, took out a pen, and ... drew three squares. Then he turned the page and drew three rectangles. Then he held the pen limply up at the top and lazily pulled it around the page, starting at one of the squares, letting the motion of the bus jerk it around, until it connected to one of the rectangles. He repeated this until each of the squares was connected to a rectangle, then made a little x inside each one. He did this whole thing three times. As soon as he finished one page, he flipped it over and started another. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen. Was it a homework assignment from some froofy fine arts course? Was he a bit unhinged? Was he trying to get a reaction from the people on the bus? (The last one would definitly make him insane - no one ever reacts [visibly] to anything on the bus.) Or maybe he just kept doing it so I'd keep staring at the page. At any rate, it was weird.

The other things are far more mundane: my umbrella hooked on the end of my bed (I was cramming in my sketchbook time just before sleeping), an attempt at William de Worde which has negative amounts of resemblance to any image I may have in my head, a doodle involving an umbrella (as I was on the topic already) and a vine (looking around my room for easy targets), and a duck... beacuse ducks are funny. And they take up space.

Funny, though... Mr. Lipwig is supposed to have no defining features and be thoroughly forgettable, but I have a much stronger image of him than of Mr. de Worde. Odd, that. I had started reading The Truth (starring Mr. de Worde) this past weekend because Going Postal seemed to me just The Truth set in the postal system instead of newspapers, so I thought I'd read the latter again, seeing how giddy G.P. made me. Unfortunately, I'm not enjoying it that much better this time around ... I think the characters just aren't as strong.

My goodness, look at me babble. Blah blah blah, I've blabbed away nearly my whole lunch hour. For shame.

Just make it to Sunday... it's not that far.

... Must ... make it ... to Sunday ...

I TOTALLY saw that square drawing guy on a plane once! He just drew a bunch of little squares in a pyramid and put little squiggles inside. Then he did it again and again in the sketchbook.
Maybe it's two guys, and they're accomplices in some sort of conspiracy...
