I am a fiction addict.

1. Do you lose time from work due to fiction?

2. Is fiction making your home life unhappy?

3. Do you read because you are shy with other people?

4. Is reading fiction affecting your reputation?

5. Have you ever felt remorse after reading?

6. Have you ever gotten into financial difficulties as a result of reading?

7. Do you turn to lower companions and an inferior environment when reading?

8. Does your reading make you careless of your family's welfare?

9. Has your ambition decreased since reading fiction?

10. Do you crave a book at a definite time?

11. Do you want a book the next morning?

12. Does reading fiction cause you to have difficulty in sleeping?

13. Has your efficiency decreased since reading fiction?

14. Is reading jeopardizing your job or business?

15. Do you read to escape your worries or troubles?

16. Do you read alone?

17. Have you ever had a complete loss of memory as a result of reading fiction?

18. Has your physician ever treated you for reading?

19. Do you read to build up your self-confidence?

20. Have you ever been to a hospital or institution on account of reading?

If you answered Yes to any one, there is a definite warning you may be an fiction addict. If you have answered Yes to any two, the chances are you are a fiction addict. If you have answered Yes to three or more, you are definitely a fiction addict.

So if you answered yes to loosing time from work (school), reading affecting you reputation (because people think you are nuts who read Harry Potter), and reading alone (Because other people makes so much noise you can't concentrate on the book) you are an addict. If you only answered yes to one, and that was being hospitalised due to reading, then you are not. LOL!

so... am I an addict?

So... if I only have two or three "No"s... Should I go to see a physician? jejejeje... because I've been almost there regarding Harry Potter, I think I have a problem, sometimes i get too obsessed... once I almost colapsed my computer's storage with HP fan arts (including yours) but anyways... at least I'm not risking my family's incoms with it... ¬¬' I have to save money to by my own books... damm it... Why is fiction so expensive in Peru???

My answers:
1. Not really ... unless you count work I take home, or a lunch hour that is a few minutes longer than usual because of a particularly sticky chapter. So maybe I should say yes.
2. If I lived anywhere else it probably would.
3. YES YES YES
4. Well, I have a reputation for being obsessive, and this has been predominantly to do with books, so... yes.
5. Yes. Usually when I realize I only have four hours left in which to sleep ...
6. If I could find a bookstore that had piles of hardcovers and was led to believe I had an high budget ... yes.
7. I think the two are mutually exclusive. So... no.
8. Quite possibly. In an abstract way.
9. Actually no, fiction tends to give me a buzz and usually makes me want to draw things, or, in special circumstances, make it into a movie. That's about as much ambition as I ever have.
10. Apart from "always," there's mealtimes, and ... see #15.
11. Goodness yes.
12. If only it wasn't so darn easy and comfortable to read in bed.
13. Actually, books on tape, I think, increase my efficiency, at work anyway, because they keep the left side of my brain busy so it can't come complaining about how bored it is.
14. No...
15. ALL the TIME. This is probably unhealthy.
16. Except for when I'm on the bus.
17. "What did I do this weekend? Did I spend it all reading?" How many times have I said this?
18. Um ... I've had my eyes checked...? I believe there was a study not too long ago that looked at nearsightedness in children in literate vs. non-literate societies, and it's much more prevalent when kids read a lot. (So, in a way ... having glasses might actually mean you are smarter.)
19. Well, it's not the goal, but that's the way it works out quite frequently.
20. If I continue to read while walking, it's only a matter of time...

twins?

Reading your answers reminds me of .... me (see # 17); maybe we are secret twins? (I wish I was yours, to get a bit of your drawing skills....)
btw, are you planning on drawing a new Carrot? you said you didn't like Paul Kidby's, and I couldn't agree more (kind of a soft spot for Carrot here...), and I just drooled on the one on your HP art site. Your Lupin is one of the best too. Well, to sum it up, I love your art, and I come on your Livejournal every time I can to have a peek in your sketchbook.
