You know what's really freaky? Disney's marketing campaign for the 50th anniversary of Disneyland, with its CG versions of traditionally animated characters. That's freaky. I mean, if you're going to make these established characters 3D, at least make a good model and light it well and use a decent shader. A little prudence in the animation might not go amiss either. And for the transit ads: can't you just get someone to draw it and then horribly over-render it to look 3D, like they have with all recent posters and DVD covers? At least then the pose might have a little life!

Nuh uh you want to know what's REALLY Scary?!? The Disney Store in the Sun Valley Mall that's what! It used to be all dark with things flying around and stuff and now it's all bright and toneless. Freaky!

"Happiest Celebration on Earth", my foot.

And speaking of freaks ... http://www.magicalmountain.net/images/news/639.jpg

I should run away before Disney ninjas can swoop down and carry me off.

Disney makes me sad. They used to...be good. And then, after Lion King, it was just downhill. It's as if they simply stopped trying. And didn't they fire all of their traditional style animators? They seem to believe that true draftsmen are unnecessary. Ha.

Do you have a link to an article or any pictures of this monstrosity?

The way Jimminy Cricket hangs off of Mickey's armpit during the commercial drives me nuts. And I'm not even a very good draw-er.

Here's what I believe may be a helpful link to an example (I suspect it may have been killed by my ad blocker): http://www.dlrnews.com/vid1_high.html
