I was going to say "Maybe he's Welsh" but then I realised that might make me seem like I'm taking a crack at the intelligence of the Welsh, rather than their awesome habit of inserting extra letters.

Hah! that very thought had crossed my mind as well, but I didn't chase it down with the whole tradition of the ignorant Welshman. You would have to use two Fs otherwise it would sound like a V! But the whole of it would probably be spelled 'Gawnffudynceal' or some such. ;)
