I read that first statement not as the people ducking machine gun fire so they weren't hit but a duck machine gun on fire.
...I'm actually rather disappointed, I was going to go look that movie up.

Lucky for you it's on YouTube! This is pretty much exactly where I walked in on it, for full out-of-context effect. If you think of it not s a film that doesn't make sense and instead as a cinematographic manifestation of the spirit of the '80s, it's really quite remarkable!
