Last week, last day, and it's taking sooo looooooong.

If time were to be personified as anything, it would be the woodworm formerly known as Mr. Tulip, inching slowly across a vast rubber sheet with weights on it, and it would be saying "This is a —ing* slow day!"

*For the easily shocked: I did not just swear. Read The Truth.

I just heard a line on the radio that I thought I ought to share with the portion of the world that was not listening to Talking Books this afternoon:
Ever since there have been snakes for the squeezing, there has been someone to sell their precious oil.

Does anyone know who originally said it?

I AM DONE WITH WORK! Done, done, done! NOW I SHALL CONQUER THE CLACKS TOWER, AAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

This is just too hilarious.
My, what a miscellaneous day it has been.
Does anyone know of an Ankh-Morpork flag that has been designed already? I have ... plans* ... and it would be ... useful.

*Which do NOT involve flying it from the telephone pole outside my house on the 25th, and I am NOT being deliberately ironic or using reverse psycholo – I'm just digging a deeper hole, aren't I?

The Truth: my favorite ever. I used to use "THAT'S HIL- —ING- LARIOUS" all the time and my friends would look at me funny. :(

Clacks tower. *drool* WHAT A GREAT, GREAT THING.

Pterry holding up what looks to be a flag ... I see hippos, so that must count for something. It looks like it was made by a fan, so it's probably not an official one.

Hmm, it looks more like a coat of arms (maybe Vimes'?) but it could be, I mean, lots of flags have coats of arms on them.

I seem to remember something about ... red ... ? And yellow? And the flag in the Watch house in Night Watch had faded to orange. Hmm. Maybe if I just find a description...

I think there is something about it in . . . maybe Guards! Guards!, is it? Where Vimes goes to find his family crest.

I thought he did that in Feet of Clay ... after he's married to Sybil, and all, and actually is forced to care about ancestral wossnames like that.

Maybe I'll just have to go back and re-read all those books set in Ankh-Morpork – oh darn.

[/sarcasm]
