I read this passage in Good Omens:
Loyalty was a great thing, but no lieutenants should be forced to choose between their leader and a circus with elephants.

Which spawned:

Teehee.

I'll probably work Mowett into there somewhere only I haven't caricatured him yet, and I shall have to take special care to make him not look like Moist.

Tula! I am working on your birthday card! I just didn't have any reference on the bus!

You are insane!

Also, there is no way Tom would choose a circus, no matter HOW many elephants, over Jack. So there.

Do you know, I saw you're pictures of Moist before I read going postal, and thought that they looked oddly like Mowett, so now I can't help but envision Ed Woodall running around in a golden suit delivering mail.

Well, when I read the book, I had an unsually strong image of Moist (for someone who supposedly has no defining features) and finally pegged it as Mowett with a splash of Faramir. So I suppose all I'll have to do is take the Faramir out, and I'll be left with a Mowett design... yes?

Sounds logical to me. However, this guy (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ari_enchanted/60474.html) obviously really wants to be Moist.

HAHAHA! No way. Way too underwear-modelish. Heehe, I saw a production of Joseph where the Pharaoh wore a golden suit... it was very entertaining.

I really think International Male should re-market that suit as the Postmaster Suit or something. They could make a Sombre Suit to go along with it.

Or, to save on confusion for poor Pratchett-deprived folks, call it the Mr Sunshine suit. (They actually sell that thing?)

Apparently. They also have a "Spice Pirate Shirt." I don't know if that means a pirate who steals spice, or a spicy pirate, or some sort of pirate-themed Spice Girl.

That elephant piñata reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons :-P

A piñata? I thought it was a pink plushy! :P Pulling's total-happyness-face is priceless :)

I was kind of going for an oversized stufed animal, but a pinata works, too. And of course it is pink, that is the colour that elephants are! (I'm glad I could convey with without even having to colour anything... ; )

Oh YEAH! Especially when we partake in one of my favourite pastimes...Tequila Shooting! :-D

For those of you unfamilliar with The Simpsons, the episode of which I speak showed a office boardroom full of snazzy well-dressed guys and the one standing up says "What can we use to show them we're both gay AND Republican", just when a loose, pink, elephant-shaped baloon floats through the window.

It was pretty funny, albeit irrelevant! :-P

Oh yeah! I loved that gag. Brilliant. I wonder who thought that one up.

Who?

Someone who has not worked on the show for about four seasons.

Not related at all

Okay, this is totally unrelated from the picture: Check out this guy's sidewalk chalk drawings:

As a fellow artist, I was mindboggled by this guy's sixth sense or something.
I do like Fiesta Pullings, though; it made me laugh.

Gah, I just want to pinch his cheek!

Although I have to admit that the first thing I though of when seeing this was "Withe a 1,000 Elephants!"

From: [identity profile] twirlynoodle.livejournal.com
I suggest we petition Messrs Gaiman and Pratchett to change it to "but no lieutenants should be forced to choose between their leader and a circus Withe a 1,000 Elephants!"

From: [identity profile] gabbysun.livejournal.com
xD I'd buy the revised copy like that, even if only for that one sentence. Because, man: elephants!

I just had the best visual ever of a cranky old man saying the first bit solemnly and sort of tongue-in-cheek like on an audiobook, and then exploding with passion at the end.

"Loyalty was a great thing, but no lieutenants should be forced to choose between their leader and a circus Withe a 1,000 Elephants!"

Oh, you cheeky imagination you.
