This Changes Everything
Aug. 13th, 2005 06:00 pmAnother example of Tealin Logic:
IF: all is fair in love and war
THEN: love = war
THEREFORE: they are interchangeable.
Apply this to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and you get:
I think it makes more sense this way... though to be honest, whenever I have heard the song, the third line in the second stanza sounds like it ends with "and that world is lost forever"... oh well.
IF: all is fair in love and war
THEN: love = war
THEREFORE: they are interchangeable.
Apply this to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and you get:
War... war changes everything: hands and faces, earth and sky.
War... war changes everything: how you live and how you die.
War can make the summer fly, or a night seem like a lifetime.
Yes, war... war changes everything, now I tremble at your name.
Nothing in the world will ever be the same.
War... war changes everything: days are longer, words mean more.
War... war changes everything: pain is deeper than before.
War will turn your world around, and that world will last forever.
Yes, war... war changes everything, brings you glory, brings you shame.
Nothing in the world will ever be the same.
Off into the world we go, planning futures, shaping years.
War bursts in and suddenly all our wisdom disappears.
War makes fools of everyone: all the rules we make are broken.
Yes, war... war changes everything: live or perish, in its flame.
War will never ever let you be the same.
War will never ever let you be the same.
I think it makes more sense this way... though to be honest, whenever I have heard the song, the third line in the second stanza sounds like it ends with "and that world is lost forever"... oh well.

Hurm. I like your version better though. Isho true!
