*Because hours are traditionally measured on clocks, and most clocks can be found on walls.

I've got the US edition now and it's going back to the store now that I've read it. I want the UK cover.

I favour the theory that we got it so quickly in the US because somebody spent about $5 and 10 minutes on the cover (somebody said that in james_nicoll's LJ, I think).

Look on the bright side; amazon.com doesn't even admit Science of Discworld I and II exist, as far as I can see. I consider myself lucky to have them.

Nah, the cover was done months ago; I remember seeing it on Amazon back when Amazon said it'd be released Oct 1. Paul Kidby's cover has been done since the spring – I saw it on his site shortly after Easter.
