473rd Verse, Same as the First
Oct. 3rd, 2005 01:53 pmTwenty-four hours to Thud! on the wall,*
Twenty-four hours to Thud!
Take one down, fill it up with work and sleep and stuff and try not to think about how long an hour is,
Twenty-three hours to Thud! on the wall!
*Because hours are traditionally measured on clocks, and most clocks can be found on walls.

Date: 2005-10-04 01:11 am (UTC)I agree 100%. In writing as well – I'm reading one of his earlier books right now (Sourcery) and came across this description of a staff:What a perfect description. And he's only improved. Not to mention the absence of excessive silly romances. The few there are are not silly and are entirely believable as reflected in the characters' thoughts and behaviour. He has utterly spoiled me.
