tealinSince I'm on my LiveJournal honeymoon, I thought I'd explain the odd little image I've chosen as my inaugural icon. It's from a painting by Eugène Galien-Laloue which I'd had as my wallpaper for a while, and this particular figure has always perplexed me.

To me, this has always looked like a little kid wearing a fireman's hemlet and carrying a TV camera on his shoulder. What would someone like this be doing in a turn-of-the-century Paris street scene? Beats me.
