A Mission

It has recently been brought to my attention that someone on DeviantArt has posted some of my artwork as his own. I rooted around a bit, looking for his email address, but it's not posted anywhere. I don't have a DeviantArt account, myself, so I can't drop him a note saying 'Um, yeah, those are mine, you didn't ask permission or give me credit, so take them down now, thanks very much.' So now I call upon my friends who do have accounts to bring politely to his attention that he has stolen that artwork, and the author would very much like it taken down, please. Please?

(He didn't even put up the best ones ... I'm still puzzled about that.)

A lot of HP fans, whether because of age, inexperience, or fate, have not had much exposure to really good art. While most really good art is not part of the HP fandom, it might not be a bad thing for some people to broaden their horizons a bit. Not to say all HP fan artists are rubbish, because that is absolutely 100% Not True, and in fact the overall talent level of the fandom has risen considerably in recent years, but there's a whole universe of fantastic art out there that doens't have pointy hats and angsty teenagers in it.

granted :) :) what i meant to say is that to HP fans.. ur in the upper echelons of HP artists.. sorry if it came across weird :)
but yes i do agree about other artworks :D i do value original work as much as i do any fanart :)
