My favourite part of the Snicket movie:

Just an off thought ... the guy to the far left, does he bear an uncanny resemblance to the man in the photos on pg. 100 of the Bio, or am I delusional? And regarding the couple (I am assuming they're supposed to be the Baudelaire parents): the woman seems to have different lighting and looks kind of like she's pasted in ... who knows, maybe it's all a clever collage. 'S brilliant.

... yeah, she does look a bit out of place...

Ha, I noticed what you called it: Volunteer's Front Doorstep. VFD. So clever lol And yeah, that woman does look a little off, but only a bit.

That's so oddly coincidental that you posted this today... I finished reading the 12th book last night at about 3am. :)

She does look like she's pasted over, like the man on the far left, the one next to Aun Josephine(?)That must be Ike. Wonder which of them are the Snicket brothers :)
(Aargh! Have to read the 12th book!)

I think she just moved when the photo was taken, so she's blurry.

The person next to Uncle Monty looks like a girl in a suit. I like.

Yeah, she does look rather out of place. But, you know, so does the guy in the upper right-hand corner. He looks a bit blurry, too...

You know, I got the book on opening day. And I STILL haven't finished it.

It's not the blurriness, it's the light source ... she's lit more from underneath, and with a more ambient light than everyone else. The corners of old photos are often out of focus, but that corner is inordinately blurry ... I wonder if that's supposed to be Lemony.

The person in front wearing a suit I mean.

Why did my comment place itself way down where it did.....?

His head looks pasted on, too... a little too large and off-centre. It might be a by-product of counteracting the foreshortening from the movie still, but everyone else is (more or less) OK.

I see what you mean about the lighting - mystery woman's face seems to have a light source from below her face while everyone else's is from above.

Here's my theory: I was listening to Mr. Silberling's solo commentary earlier today, and he mentioned something about how the profiles of the Baud's parents were actually some crew member and the director's wife. So maybe, for the sake of ... verisimilitude ... they took a pre-exsisting photo of Mrs. Silberling and pasted it in there with a little Photoshop trickery.

Hey, whoever this is, I am inspired by your Harry Potter drawings, and now illustrating Harry Potter comix and drawings. I really adore how ROn is drawn. I love your drawings,
