The More, the Merrier
Jan. 3rd, 2006 09:33 amAaaand the last bunch.
Page 13 - Snape and Susan (OMG OTP!!!! ... just kidding) for quentin_ro, and Crowley in his flaming car for the person who wanted Good Omens stuff.
Page 14 - azvolrien requested a samurai with a mop being chased by a Dalek ... since I had only heard of Daleks on the radio I had the image in my head of a sort of animate dustbin, much like ones used in the film a friend of mine made for our film class. I did look up what Daleks look like before drawing this but liked my miniature menacing garpage pail better.
Page 15 - Neil Peart for ubiquitouspitt, drawn off a recent magazine so he doesn't have the long blowing tresses, Mr Tumnus for the thousands who wanted to see him, and, for ariastar and anonymous, a really feeble caricature of David Tennant acting out a scene from the most recent Doctor Who radio play involving the paper hat from a cracker. Bad. Oohhh, bad. Though he's got a face worth attempting to caricature properly and he knows how to use it. If only I could think of an appropriate HP4/Who crossover gag... Ramble ramble ramble.
Page 16 - Draco and Snape pulling a Christmas cracker for everyone who wanted to see either one or the other of them, and an illustration for lepitot of the Second Task, highlighting the doll-like nature of the ... er ... victims? ... in the movie.
Page 17 - Death makes a house call to satisfy the somewhat morbid request of idoodles and pyri_prongs's desire to see Death with cats.
Page 18 - This one was my idea! Voldemort experiences ethnic cuisine! This episode includes Indian, Japanese, and TexMex.
For those who didn't get their requests drawn, this may be down to one of three reasons:
1. It would have meant looking up a specific scene or character in a book somewhere and that would have taken too much time, something I was short of
2. Someone else (probably Paul Kidby or Makani) has already done it way, way better than me
3. I didn't get around to it before hitting the end of my sketchbook
Please don't take it personally!

But my favorite is the cuisine Voldemort one. The first one looks like he just tried really, really, really hot peppers :)

Date: 2006-01-03 06:46 pm (UTC)Anyhooo.... Yeah! I guess you've made me giggle and squeal with elation at all the yummy Snapey goodness to overlook the fact that his Old Man and Old Lady never inspired yuo :P. It's OK. You've made up for it with all these wonderful Holiday gifts! Watch out world -- Santa's Heir is in Canada! :P

If you want (to make it up :P), I'm actually taking advice and suggestions (which I will credit) from the artists I respect the most for an upcoming
scenescenes I'm drawing depicting the events of Severus' 17th birthday. 17-year-olds are legal adults in the wizarding world, so needless to say, the theme is alcohol and debauchery. My last post goes into further details, but basically I need ideas for scenes involving Slug Club members of the Marauder-era at the Hog's Head.no subject

Date: 2006-01-04 08:44 am (UTC)Thank you SO MUCH for poking fun at how strange the ... mermaid's victim's looked in the GoF movie. They really weirded ME out.
Voldy eating ethnic cuisine made me giggle aloud. Hehehe. My first reaction to Indian food was very similar.

Date: 2006-01-04 10:58 am (UTC)Admittedly, before I found out what Daleks actually looked like, my image was of a large dustbin with a plunger tied to one side.
Thank you!!!!
Date: 2006-01-04 12:41 pm (UTC)It's really hard to read about/look at Voldemort again without picturing those drawings in my head. :P If only he could shoot fire out of his mouth. sigh. :P
