So I finally saw King Kong today. Let me just say I had such a good time that my throat is sore, my sides ache, and I'm currently experiencing a bit of the 'crash' that follows endorphine rushes. Unfortunately for Peter Jackson, this was mostly at his expense ... but it was a darn good time. I've made a bunch of notes and will be attempting a review when I have free time again (which may be two weeks from now).

In the meantime, I would like it made generally known that MY SISTER IS A GENIUS. GENIUS.

And now I must go draw some gag sketches.

Oh come on! Those were the moments that made it such a blast! (Sometimes literally!) Party pooper. :)

I really think . . .

Twas overreaching that killed the beast.

I mean really, T-Rex chomps down on his shoulder and KK shrugs if off. Some little 30-cal bullets hit him and down he goes. And how did they get him on that tramp steamer, anyway?

Kong

I found that it was those moments that i would stop looking at the movie as a serious film and instead revert back to a gawping mouthed ten year old, my vocabulay shortened to 'oh my god' and 'cool'. This seemed to worry my friend i saw it with.
When they had the fight with the three T-rexes i nearly wet myself i was so excited.
The one problem with the film was facing the thought of another space with no Peter Jackson films for a long time.
