So I finally saw King Kong today. Let me just say I had such a good time that my throat is sore, my sides ache, and I'm currently experiencing a bit of the 'crash' that follows endorphine rushes. Unfortunately for Peter Jackson, this was mostly at his expense ... but it was a darn good time. I've made a bunch of notes and will be attempting a review when I have free time again (which may be two weeks from now).

In the meantime, I would like it made generally known that MY SISTER IS A GENIUS. GENIUS.

And now I must go draw some gag sketches.

Darn

Seems I'm one of the few who didn't see the movie, not because I didn't want to, just because I didn't have time. I really have to rent it, I really do, along with practically all movies that came out between november and today (except GoF and Narnia, of course).
I'll be waiting for that review so we can all see why your sister is a genius.
And the sketches will be nice too!

Just heard today that it's coming out in a month, so you won't have to wait long ... and I can make amusing screencaps, hahaha. |: ) I know what you mean about lack of time – I still haven't seen Madagascar or Chicken Little or ... well, practically anything animated in the last year.

I still haven't seen King Kong. I really wanted to, though...

I loved Goblet, though. And thoroughly enjoyed Narnia. I just didn't have time to see King Kong. I wish I had.

As for Madagascar...it was a funny movie...but the animation on the people was pretty bad. What is it with Dreamwork's CGI movies? Almost all of them have people that move like robots...even from the Over the Hedge preview I can tell that they are going to be weird people. Yet, the main characters always look fine...

*shrugs*

Because they get the good animators to do the main characters and the less experienced ones with less time and freedom to do the background characters? And, in their CG movies to date, the background characters have been human whereas the main ones are usually not. Put the effort into the things that are the centre of attention, don't waste valuable time and employees on pieces of moving set, which is all background people are.

True.

But, in Pixar and Blue Sky movies even the background people are great. But then, everything about Pixar is great haha
