Another Wednesday
Mar. 8th, 2006 08:58 amMost important:
Small Gods episode two!
Less important:

At the hotel, waiting to meet my cousins for dinner and making costume notes for my sister who was working on a design assignment.

Some bus people, Lupin and Tonker (hahaha), and my subversive commentary. My, I have been snarky lately. Oh yes, and the seal has a long backstory that I don't feel like going into right now; maybe at lunch.

Date: 2006-03-08 05:22 pm (UTC)It, um ... Actually I was intending for it to be a sporting event, because in the States (I don't know about anywhere else as I haven't been subjected to sport broadcasts since I moved away) there are always people in the crowd holding up signs or wearing shirts or painting their bare chests [shudder] with 'John 3:16'* ... so I thought I'd respond in kind.
Why?

Date: 2006-03-08 05:52 pm (UTC)Yes, I see what you are saying now about the Sport Events. I have not been to many of them myself (outside of soccer), so I did not realize that some of my countrymen are prose- er- proset- er getting all religious at sport events. Your cartoon just really cracked me up since there are so many places where Bible verses are showing up. I am a pretty devout Christian but it seems so awkward to me. I like jokes that make me do a double take like this. Kind of reminds me of Keith Knight's seriously funny cartoons "(Th)ink", "The K Chronicles" and "Life's Little Victories"

Date: 2006-03-09 01:16 pm (UTC)On a lighter note, I thought the Tonks/Lupin gag was really funny and I agree with the compliments on her pose!
