So far they've all been incredibly boring, or tasted just like every other homemade curry I've ever had – which somehow, no matter what the recipe, manage to taste exactly the same, and unlike anything you'd get in a restaurant.

Have you ever tried using mango? It's got this sweetish-tangy twist in it and used in many east indian dishes.
