As much as I resent the giant marketing machine reaching out to me in my state of self-proclaimed Valentines Apostasy, I have to admit that the card and the t-shirt mentioned in this article are pretty amusing.

is a misrepresentation of the count. Their numbers included every female 15 year old and older, widows, women whose husbands are in the military and are deployed, women whose husbands work away from home (truckers, outside sales people), and others. BTW, it was the US census that reported the raw numbers, but they were "interpreted" by a "newspaper."
