TASTY TRAILER TREAT RECIPE!
Try it at home and share with your friends!

Ingredients:

1 766-page (870-page in non-Metric countries) YA novel
2 c mild acid
4 tbsp cinematography in the style of 'philosophical action movie.'
2 2/3 c muscles
2 shirts, tight and slightly thin
5cc adrenaline
1 very large render farm

Extract pages from book. Set in a medium-sized pot, add acid, and bring to a boil. Simmer on 'low' for six months. Strain resulting sludge through a sieve, pressing as much soppy liquid out as possible. Place remaining fibre in a mixing bowl. Add cinematography and stir well, until evenly distributed. Mix muscles and shirts in a separate bowl, then fold into the first mixture. Turn this out onto a floured surface and knead into an attractive lump. Inject 5cc adrenaline using a baker's hypodermic needle until desired sense of urgency is achieved (increase dosage if necessary). Place in preheated 360° render farm until filters and CG have a glossy sheen. Serve hot to 60 million.

I should probably say I think the movie implied by this trailer looks like it's distilled everything interesting about the book into a visually appealing bite-sized package (even though Voldie's wearing a suit) and I will probably see it.

Looks Amazing

I'm very pleasantly surprised by the mood of the trailer; it has that right edge of creepiness about it. I'm glad this director is taking more of a psychological and emotional path with the story, because emotion is ultimately what guides whether or not we enjoy a film. The production design has the right mix of past and modern architecture to it, and the lighting is indeed perfect for the feeling of this part of the tale. Looks like we're getting some Peter Jackson-esque aerial shots, which I'm more than happy about! I'm pretty sure that Harry sees Voldemort at King's Cross to show that he's constantly got the Dark Lord on his mind (just not "The Dark Lord Wears Prada").

This director is really shaping up, and if the film is as wonderful as it looks, I hope he stays on for the Half-Blood Prince film. I find Voldemort's past very fascinating, and they need to find a way to keep that the main focus of the next film (as there really is no central plot) while still keeping Harry an active character during all that exposition. They also really need to start making Dumbledore a better character in order for us to care about him in the next film; so far, they've screwed themselves up in that area. And if they cut Fawkes's Lament out of the film (I want to see a whole scene of just Fawkes flying, the scenery, and the music) I will be disappointed.
