Picture Day

I did some scanning today. For the benefit of those with slow connections... click on the cut below if you want to see!
Argh, forget it, I'm not figuring out this "lj-cut" business tonight. Click on the link of the one you want to see, because I'm a lazy bum.
McGonagall, not looking overly much like Maggie Smith or Mrs. Tweedy ... a welcome development.
Prof. Moody, also a little close to what I had in mind.
Slagar (tight) Another attempt at Slagar... I've always had a very clear mental picture of him and as is so often the case with the clearest mental pictures, have had a terrible time getting a facsimile on paper. I like almost everythign about this one except for the head ... that darn hood is giving me lots of trouble. He either looks like a sheep or a racehorse and I can't make it have any features at all, when I know it is possible.
Slagar (rough) halfway through the previous one I did this little sketch which I like a lot better ... maybe because the angle on the head is different.
Also, it's the first of the month. You'd think there'd be bus passes still available, yes? Maybe I need to go to a less popular 7-11.

Date: 2005-02-02 07:47 am (UTC)I really love your McGonagall and Moody. It's awesome when you re-design Harry Potter characters so you make your already-good designs even better.
And the one from Redwall looks so awesome, like... Disney animator awesome. All cleaned up and cool. I get the hood thing, I think it looks good. It makes me want to read Redwall really bad.
Awesome, as is to be expected.

Date: 2005-02-03 07:18 am (UTC)Anyhoo, I think I am going to pick up a copy of Redwall tomorrow. I've always meant to read it, and I'm guessing the new, awesome, huge and shiny Borders will have a nice hardcover I can purchase with my Borders gift card.

Date: 2005-02-03 05:08 pm (UTC)(teehee) No, no, no, it's more like "flairting ... aaayyyyyyyyyeeeeee."
Aah, forget it, Tim Curry is perfect for everyone. (Except Sunny.)

Date: 2005-02-03 01:08 am (UTC)Any chance you will try and animate one of your HP characters in the future? *waits with eager anticipation*

Date: 2005-02-08 08:19 pm (UTC)I love your McGonagall too, but I have a special soft spot for Alastor. My own take on him is here (http://www.deviantart.com/view/3195976/), though he's probably not gnarled or scarred enough.
Also, you said something about Canadian HP fans? *sticks hand up in air and waves it around*
