I did some scanning today. For the benefit of those with slow connections... click on the cut below if you want to see!

Argh, forget it, I'm not figuring out this "lj-cut" business tonight. Click on the link of the one you want to see, because I'm a lazy bum.

McGonagall, not looking overly much like Maggie Smith or Mrs. Tweedy ... a welcome development.
Prof. Moody, also a little close to what I had in mind.
Slagar (tight) Another attempt at Slagar... I've always had a very clear mental picture of him and as is so often the case with the clearest mental pictures, have had a terrible time getting a facsimile on paper. I like almost everythign about this one except for the head ... that darn hood is giving me lots of trouble. He either looks like a sheep or a racehorse and I can't make it have any features at all, when I know it is possible.
Slagar (rough) halfway through the previous one I did this little sketch which I like a lot better ... maybe because the angle on the head is different.

Also, it's the first of the month. You'd think there'd be bus passes still available, yes? Maybe I need to go to a less popular 7-11.

Yes, it was ... I would advise not watching it. The episode and a half that I've seen was a truly painful experience. I have a dim memory of reading that Tim Curry did the voice of Slagar in the animated version of Mattimeo, and that stirs my interest enough only to find some sort of audio recording of just his lines, because he would be perfect for Slagar (and I'm not just saying this because he's Tim Curry) as he did almost exactly the same voice for his part in Three Musketeers (if that was indeed him) and, I suspect, it's very similar to his Olaf voice. I did see an episode of Mattimeo and ... at was so atrocious... I was wrapped up in one of those horrified trances. Maybe someday I can wrest the rights back from Nelvana and give at least one of the books the glorious production it deserves!

Flairtinngg.... ayyee..

Anyhoo, I think I am going to pick up a copy of Redwall tomorrow. I've always meant to read it, and I'm guessing the new, awesome, huge and shiny Borders will have a nice hardcover I can purchase with my Borders gift card.

Oooh, Borders gift card...

(teehee) No, no, no, it's more like "flairting ... aaayyyyyyyyyeeeeee."

Aah, forget it, Tim Curry is perfect for everyone. (Except Sunny.)

We were not flairting. We were having a conver-saation.

The only good Sunny is muffled-under-many-pin,-striped,-and-in-clothing-Sunny.

That is a very good Sunny, you're right. One has to wonder how he perfectly mimicked the sound of a small child under an oversized pinstripe suit...

It luked like flairting to meee... aaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeee....

Well, if you go through the trouble and risk of actually trying to read Lemony Snicket to the general publics' perusal and occasionally listening all the way through you have to do research and be accurate.
