This is a piece of concept art by Andy Harkness, not a final still from the movie, though of course they're going to try to make it look like that. There seems to be some confusion: Rapunzel is not going to be 2D. It is a 3D film. A very nice 3D film, but it is 3D, not 2D. No matter how much some people may plead and moan, the directors want it 3D and they're the ones in charge.

Thanks for sharing--this movie looks great! I too am wistful for more 2D, but it looks like it's going to be beautifully art-directed 3D, which also makes me happy. Also, can you go wrong with Glen Keane in the lead? I mean, really?

Well, they were going drastically wrong with Rapunzel Unbraided but that was because they weren't letting him Do His Thing. Now he is, FTW!
