I get the feeling you may have put some thought into this... Very helpful though! I know what you mean about the cheekbones; my first instinct was to make them really sharp, but that definitely made it feel less like him. I sure wish there were some better reference pictures though, all the ones I've found have been tiny and pixelated.
If you buy it off iTunes you can both stop-frame it within the program AND open it in Quicktime, from which you can save images. Just find the frame you want, using the arrow keys to navigate forwards and backwards, then ctrl+C and ctrl+V in whatever graphics program you use.
