I've got a couple more caricatures on the go but they aren't at a point that I can scan them yet, and today there's a big company meeting so I'm bound to get some drawings out of that, but in the meantime I'm throwing all my aces on the pile.

Another of my commissions was a scene in Sunshine by Robin McKinley. Now, I'm not much into vampires, but it was a professional obligation, and my roommate had been suggesting I read the book for a while anyway, so I did. If you want to know what my reaction was, it's here, but chances are you just want to see the picture. I oblige!

I've never been there* and really don't know much about it but I could never shake the feeling that this book was set in Winnipeg.

Incidentally 'Con' was the nickname of Robert Falcon Scott. Hee!

*my parents will be quick to point out that I have been there but I believe I was four at the time so it doesn't exactly count

Yes. It could be fun! There's Corporate Buzzword Bingo to play, and you can work on caricatures for the show...

Well, I don't mind them.

As an English major who's aspiring to be a writer, I really should read all kinds of things.

As per vampires, I even read "Thirty Days of Night" because it had vampires in it, and it's a graphic novel. I still haven't read Interview With the Vampire, though.

So as I usually do, I looked at the picture before reading what it was about, and my first thought was "Did Luna put something in Snape's pumpkin juice?"

Your color work always amazes me. I mean, so does the linework, but your colors are always so crisp and fitting. Nice work!

Only still working on one – and you'd laugh if you knew which one it was. Laugh, and then throw a shoe.

I am profoundly touched by your faith in me every time you innocently suggest that I should remember anything that happened more than two minutes ago :)

Perhaps my pessimism towards humanity in general gets tossed out the window when it comes to you. :)
