You know what's funny? I get a transcription script sent for the translation of the trailer along with the video. Well, whoever did the transcription didn't catch that phrase and instead wrote "I'm not done yet".
I admit, if it weren't for the fact that I already knew Naveen was from Maldonia (Disney forums FTW) I might have left the mistake on the Spanish version XD
Well, they usually send a transcript of the final version of a movie because the original scripts get edited and modified during filming/animation and so are not very reliable (I've worked with those in other companies and it's a nightmare). But I think that in the case of movie trailers it's probably easier to just transcribe the 2 minutes of trailer than locate the dialogues in the original script.
Now if only the people who transcribed the trailer had a better ear...
... I think I've just had an out-of-body experience. It looks fan-fucking-tastic. And also? I love the Intro of Epic Sketchlines of Light, because its message is: "Yeah, remember those amazing films we've been doing for 70 years now? With, y'know, basically a pencil? Yeah, they're awesome pieces of art!(!!)"
Sorry, I've slipped into valley girl slang in all the excitement. I cannot wait for this film.
Friggin' Awesome :D I wish you could discuss more about the villainy Witch Doctor, but oh well, I'll find out when I finally get a chance to see it in theaters :) I'm so friggin' excited now!
I completely underestimated how excited I would be for this film until I watched this trailer. I mean, when I learned about the movie my mind was all, "Oh, good, a hand-drawn Disney movie!" but until this trailer I had totally forgotten what that actually means for someone who's grown up watching Disney movies. It just looks so GORGEOUS.
OMG, that is SO FUCKING GORGEOUS, and eeeeeeeee! I am so excited about this movie. And the concept! And I just showed it to my sister and she squee-clutched my arm so hard I'm actually dreading taking her to the movie, because it will hurt.
I really really really like that part with Prince Navine dancing with the little kid. Actually, all the parts that look like they take place in our world, haha.
That villain looks to be quite satisfyingly villainy.
I had this really excitable sugar buzz of a comment but my window closed up on me and it went something like this:
"I WAS SO EXCITED I RAN AROUND THE HOUSE AND SLID THROUGH THE KITCHEN THE PRINCE DANCES THE LIGHTS THE COLORS THE BACKGROUNDS THE VILLAIN THE VILLAIN THE VILLAIN"
Your movie is giving me chills! (And yes, Kellee and I call it "Tealin's movie" all the time. But then... you said you have to go make us a princess movie, so I guess it's our movie, really.) Oh honey, I am so excited! This makes me so happy I want to cry! I'mma watch it again!
Eee! It looks gorgeous. Does this mean Disney will be doing more hand drawn stuff in the future? Oh man, I'm definitely seeing this opening weekend (when things count) and encouraging others to do the same.
Reiterating numerous comments above: wow, I am more excited than I even was before because of the memories of a childhood that only knew 2D hand-drawn animation. I also second the motion that I hope this brings about a 2D renaissance because... yes. Yes yes yes!
I say chaps! A round of applause to the lady and her coworkers!
