Why would the band be weird in colour?
There's colour models on the walls at work so all the characters in colour were the first thing I saw from the movie :S

I worked a little bit on the band (not this shot) and, as one does, had sort of imagined my own colours for them. These colours are ... very not those colours.

You've probably seen more colour models than I have – I just see them when the shot gets finished and uploaded here.

Oh THAT Mario! Did I work with him? I know we went out for sushi once, him and my sister and me ... if we were at the same studio we must have been on different productions because I don't think I actually worked with him.

It's amazing how much better she looks in colour ... if you just look at the black and white line version she tends to resemble E.T. a bit. :)

They have an entirely different division of the company that does marketing and merchandise art, which is about as closely connected to the animation division as the DVD department is to the theme parks.
