A Bit of the 'Wall' Phenomenon

Yeah. I'm really suffering for lack of artistic challenge ... I'm not getting any at work and I don't have enough inspiration or influences at home. I have not only hit a wall but am gradually slipping down it and before long it'll be like I've never been to animation school at all.... I just have to make myself slog through it because I know that's the only way to beat it. It's so discouraging.
Anyway, the purpose of the cut: Here's my first halfway-decent Otto Chriek ... still not right but at least he's starting to look a bit more like himself.

Perhaps I'll cheer up if I work on the world's only The Truth/FLCL/Red Dwarf crossover gag sketch. If it doesn't frustrate me too much.

Date: 2005-09-19 06:34 pm (UTC)The costume likely comes from the fact that everything I read and/or draw lately seems to be costumed between 1750 and 1870, but is most likely attributable to the fact that immediately before drawing this, I had just been making notes on Georgian costume for my sister.
My perception of the Apocalypse has been forever skewed by Messrs Gaiman and Pratchett... frankly, any Death who doesn't speak in just isn't worth the effort.
